About the role:

A part of the senior Food operations team, you will be responsible for delivering our strategic objectives, Getting more from Today, Growing Scale for Tomorrow and developing our Co-operative Difference through effectively embedding the Society purpose ‘Doing Good Together’.

You will be accountable for maximising financial and non-financial performance in a Region of stores and contributing to the overall Food Group and Society targets, with budget accountability of sales approx. £60 million per annum.

You will be accountable for the performance, engagement, coaching and development of the Compliance Managers & Store Managers and their teams and actively developing a succession plan for colleagues at all levels.

The post holder is required to maximise the sales and contribution by effectively monitoring all key areas of store operations and adherence to all compliance requirements through effective leadership.

Who are we looking for?

Degree or equivalent level of experience in a senior commercial or operational role with an in-depth understanding of food operations 
Understands how to manage budgets, targets, and key performance indicators 
Leading with a customer first mindset and high standards for service and operations
Effective at leading change
A natural people leader who has high emotional intelligence and able to get the best out of people by using established leadership and coaching skills
Be able to take personal responsibility for the strategic direction and objectives of the stores across the district
