Management Accountant - Childcare

About the role:

Are you a skilled Management Accountant looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in the Childcare sector?

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-orientated professional to join our team, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering financial reporting for our Childcare division. In this key role, you’ll manage monthly accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and statutory audit requirements, while also contributing to the budgeting and forecasting processes.

As part of this role, your responsibilities will include:
• Responsibility for the accurate and timely production of financial reporting for the Childcare division including, but not limited to, management accounts, management information and balance sheet reconciliations
• Working with other areas of finance to support the financial analysis (profitability, working capital etc) of various aspects of Childcare
• Supporting and challenging key Childcare stakeholders regarding the tracking, analysis and usage of local authority funding
• Developing and improving financial processes, procedures and risk management to ensure the control environment is robust and in line with needs of the business
• Preparation and submission of statutory year end and half year audit documentation
• Identifying, communicating and mitigating all risks to accounting and reporting controls

This role is part of a team based from our Head Office in Warwick, with a mix of working from home and in the office, you will need to be able to travel into the office on certain days.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Experience in a Management Accountant role with a track record of delivering multiple tasks at quality and to tight deadlines
• Experience in the Childcare industry or other service sectors is desired but not essential
• Good time management and the ability to multi-task
• Strong customer focus and a commitment to quality and service
